ISEA Book on Understanding Iowa Teaching Standards

The ISEA has published A Framework for Understanding the Iowa Teaching Standards and Criteria. Designed as a tool for professional growth and self-assessment, the ISEA worked closely with internationally known author and educator, Charlotte Danielson to link her widely acclaimed Framework for Teaching with the recently developed Iowa Teaching Standards and criteria.

Danielson's Framework, based on a thorough analysis of the research on effective teaching, brings meaning to the Iowa standards. In order to make this Iowa Framework book useful to teachers, ISEA is considering providing additional professional development opportunities. The cost of the book is $20, but ISEA members receive a $15 discount, reducing their cost to just $5.
