Ease Into Back to School with The United States Mint: New America the Beautiful Quarters® Program lesson plans

The America the Beautiful Quarters Program, new in 2010, brings selected national sites to this popular circulating coin. Fifty-six different designs make up this series (one for each state, the District of Columbia, and each of five US territories).
• The America the Beautiful Quarters Program pioneers a brand new, interactive lesson plan format that is easier to read through and to customize for student needs.
• The first eleven of the new America the Beautiful Quarters lesson plans are based on the 2010 new quarter designs spanning grades K-12, and were developed with National Standards in mind.
• The plans use online technology to create student-centered and project-based learning and to support the new National Education Technology Standards.
• To date, United States Mint lesson plans have been downloaded more than seven million times. The America the Beautiful Quarters Program, educational for both youth and adults, follows on the heels of the successful 50 State Quarters® Program and the 2009 District of Columbia and U.S. Territories Quarters Program.
